Lake Norman Area Outreach Committee

The Lake Norman Area NA Outreach Committee performs all service functions for the LNANA including Hospitals and Institutions, Public Relations, Web Development, Online Schedule, Phone Line, and other area service needs.

The committee utilizes local, region, and world approved service handbooks, tools, and materials written for those committees. The purpose of our volunteer efforts is to inform our community that NA exists and offers recovery from addiction, including information about how and where to find NA, so that no addict seeking recovery need ever die from the horrors of addiction.

H&I (Hospitals and Institutions)

H&I meetings can carry the NA message of recovery to addicts who do not have full access to regular Narcotics Anonymous meetings. H&I is an important service in our public relations efforts in NA. One of our PR goals is to inform the public and the potential member about our program.

When addicts seeking recovery know who we are and where to find our meetings, this means our efforts have been successful. H&I meetings and presentations, except for those in long-term facilities, are intended to introduce those attending to some of the basics of the NA program.

Public Relations

We make the general public aware of NA by hanging informative posters each quarter and creatively reaching out to people who are looking for help. We do our best, but are always looking for new ways to reach those still sick and suffering addicts who do not know that Narcotics Anonymous exists. Please come and share your ideas.

Website Development – Online Schedule

We have an Events page within our website that needs to be updated every few weeks while meetings sometimes move or change their format. Outreach Committee members do service by keeping us up to date electronically.

Phoneline

Our local hotline serves suffering addicts and NA members who may be visiting or new to our area. Our phoneline, like the website, requires updates from time to time.
